implant couple NOW an in office procedure at Better Bites by Busch
Dr. Ed Busch is one of the few Pinellas County dentists who has invested the time and outlay to become qualified and proficient in Dental Implant surgery.
Recent progress in Dental Implant technology and procedures now allows Dr. Busch to offer this remarkable solution right here in his office.

The superior option
Dental implants offer people of all ages and lifestyles a comprehensive and long-term solution to missing teeth.
Dental Implants are far superior to traditional replacement options such as bridges or dentures.
Bridges - require that teeth on either side of the gap be trimmed down – sacrificed – so that a bridge can be applied over the trimmed teeth to support the artificial crown.
Dentures - rely on the gums and atrophied ridge for support, which can cause discomfort, irritation and inflammation.

Dental Implants replace the missing teeth with a standalone replacement, which retains the integrity of natural teeth and provide the correct stimulation to maintain a healthy jawbone.
They can even be used to support a full set of prosthetic teeth; either top, bottom or both sets; an entire mouth of perfect, non-removable teeth!

What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are freestanding artificial teeth roots made from exceptionally strong, lightweight, non-corrosive and biologically inert titanium.
Titanium has the unique property of being able to form a strong natural bond with bone tissue; it does not corrode and does not provoke rejection.

The procedure
The socket is cleared to remove any residual material such as broken root or old decay, thus creating a clean surgically prepared site for the titanium implant to be affixed into the jawbone. For cosmetic purposes a temporary bridge or crown is fitted.
In the following few months the implant will form a biological bond with the bone. When the bonding process is complete the temporary is removed and a permanent crown or bridge is fitted to the titanium implant.
The new crown or bridge is made from exceedingly durable resin and ceramics that is colored and contoured to match your own teeth and will function just like natural teeth.

For a lifetime
A titanium implant, once it has formed the biological bond with your jawbone, needs no maintenance or special care.
With correct daily care and attention - normal brushing and hygiene, and regular visits to your dentist for routine checkups, your new implants and associated crowns should last for many, many years; even a lifetime.

Jawbone health
Missing teeth eliminate the important stimulation and pressures associated with eating and chewing that maintains bone volume in healthy jaws. In the absence of this stimulation the bone begins to waste away.
Traditional teeth replacement options do not promote the health of your jawbone.

Dental implants replace the entire missing teeth from root to crown. They provide more than just a cosmetic and functional solution, they supply the same stimulation to the jaw as natural teeth; the bone volume is maintained and the jaws remain healthy!

  • Recapture your smile
No more gaps or loose teeth
  • Eat and speak normally
Completely restores bite functionality and articulate diction
  • Improved speech
Restores the natural balance between teeth, tongue and lips
  • Just like natural teeth
Dental implants biologically fuse with the underlying jawbone so they cannot shift around to make you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.
They are supported by the jawbone, just like your original teeth, so they almost never hurt or irritate the surrounding gum tissue
And you clean them with regular brushing and flossing; just like your natural teeth!
  • Promotes Dental Stability
A missing tooth allows its neighbors to shift into the gap, which can cause a domino effect that can ultimately destabilizes the whole set. A Dental Implant restores the equilibrium
